Beautiful town, worth taking a break

Beautiful path that runs along the Bosso River near the town of Cagli. The river in some places flows in some very beautiful landscaped canyons. In summer it is possible to go down to the pools to take a refreshing bath. Near the former Tre Pozzi mill there is also a beautiful waterfall which can also be reached from the provincial road

Mountain of the Umbria-Marche Apennines of 1525m in height. The origin of the name has two hypotheses, the first, more suggestive, is the one that wants the origin of the name linked to the Roman consul Claudius Nero who would have gathered his legions here before the famous Battle of Metauro (year 207 BC) in which defeated the Carthaginians. A more likely hypothesis links the name of this mountain to the discovery of a statuette of the god Mars, which occurred during the construction works of the RAI broadcasting center on the summit.

A somewhat particular and macabre church, inside there are 18 perfectly preserved mummies dating back to the exhumations carried out in 1804 after the edict of Saint Claud signed by Napoleon. Their story is very interesting, stop by for a visit!

Nice village with the fortress

The town of Cagli rises in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, on a plateau narrow by the rivers Bosso and Burano, confluent of the Metauro. The territory is surrounded by the Catria, Petrano, Nerone and Paganuccio mountains which, with the Pietralata, form the steep limestone walls of the Passo del Furlo massif.
