This mountain is ideal for sunrise hikes, as you can reach the summit from the nearby rest area within 30-40 minutes and thus have a very good view in the morning or during the day over Portoferraio, Rio Marina or parts of Porto Azurro

Also recommended during or after a rain shower. The clouds make the coast look very dramatic. The tour is also suitable for children; at the top of the mountain there are old buildings and gun emplacements where you can climb around.

The military structures of the Cape Enfola peninsula were built in the period between the two World Wars, as part of the "Coastal Defense" plan which affected all of Italy between 1935 and 1938. The coastal battery was built to keep under control the body of water that separates Elba from the Tuscan coast from Corsica.

I can only agree. I came from the north with the E-MTB and wanted to pull it up the steep part with a rope, but it worked that way. Downhill on the south side is brutal and only makes sense with a biobike.

Very nice round to end the day. There are still some ruins and witnesses from the past to discover, including old tunnels. A sunset at Capo is always worth it.
