Along the Via Francigena between Fossanova and Priverno, the ruins of a farmhouse with a brick arch. The glimpse of the panorama seems to have been made intentionally: the town of Maenza is perfectly framed in the distance.

4월 21, 2024, Chiesa di San Benedetto (Sec. XIII), Priverno
The church of S. Benedetto rises north-east of Priverno, not far from it rises the medieval walls to which the parish house is located. The main facade with an exposed stone structure has two single-lancet windows at the top and a rectangular door. The north façade shows signs of numerous openings and two buttresses from the 13th-14th century. The south façade with a simple portal and cardinal's coat of arms. Leaning against the latter is the bell tower. The rear elevation has an asymmetrical appearance determined by the protrusion of the body of the sacristy which interrupts the curvature of the terminal apse. Inside, the side naves are covered with cross vaults. On the curvature of the apse there is access to the sacristy which is also covered by cross vaults.

Fossanova Monastery is a former Benedictine abbey, then a Cistercian and later a Carthusian monastery, and today a Franciscan convent. The monastery is an Italian national monument. The monastery church can be visited, as can the museum.

Consecrated at the end of the 12th century and remodeled in the 18th century, it stands on a high staircase. Inside, it preserves architectural elements from the 13th century in the transept area where the ribs of the cross vault and the crochet capitals are still visible. The portico that precedes the entrance has three spans covered with cross vaults, opens onto the square with three arches, the central round arch and the lateral ones with pointed arches; the pillars are reinforced by buttresses and flanked by columns which are set on column-bearing animals. Despite the obvious Cistercian architectural links, a certain creative freedom can be seen in the decorative details which is expressed in a rather exuberant decoration, which refers to the local tradition, evident in the elaborate carvings of the archivolts and in the column-bearing animals. To see: the fifteenth-century panel of the "Madonna d'Agosto", preserved in the chapel of the same name and the relics of St. Thomas Aquinas, patron saint of Priverno.

The Castle of San Martino is located within the park of the same name which extends all around for about 15 hectares. The two access gates are located on S.P San Martino and S.S Marittima II. The Castle was built by Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio, secretary of Pope Gregory XIII, who obtained around 1565 some plots of land from the diocese of Terracina to be able to build his own country house. The Villa Tolomeo Gallio, of Renaissance origin, was built between 1565 and 1569. The Palace is a square-plan construction with four corner towers which give it an almost “fortress” aspect; the entrance, represented by an ashlar work door surmounted by the Borghese family crest, leads to a large courtyard through a three-bay portico. The Villa is owned by the Municipality which has renovated it and used the upper part as a convention center useful for organizing events. The park surrounding the castle is very well maintained, there are picnic areas and many games for children. In the grove near the castle there is also a beautiful path of about 3 km among the centuries-old oak woods. Sore point No Bikes!
