The cycle path is very well developed and therefore easy to ride. But there are almost no rest stops. In the sweltering heat, there is no chance of resting in the shade. There is a nice spot right next to the motorway and I would not recommend it. I would not ride this cycle path again. It runs for a long time behind Bolzano right next to the motorway and is very loud.

The former railway tunnels have remained unchanged over time. The only convenience is that they are illuminated and the lights are controlled by a sensor, they turn on as the cyclist approaches the tunnel. Excellent solution to avoid unnecessary waste and congratulations for the initiative.

Apart from the great mountain landscape, the cycle path on the Etsch is a bit boring to ride, so I cycled the first part from Meran, the wine route via Haltern and Draman, which was very nice.

The way from Meran to Bolzano is quite long and can get a bit monotonous next to the motorway and railway line! But Bolzano makes up for everything!

The Adige Cycle Path follows the course of the river and allows you to cycle, in complete safety, from Merano to Verona. Signage, bicigrill and splendid views complete one of the exemplary projects in the infrastructure dedicated to cycle tourism.

From Bolzano by car to Siegmundskron train station, after the Mendelhof turn right or before the tracks turn right, about 100m then left, there is a free parking space (possibly also with the train to Merano another route) from there over the tracks to the left The cycle path towards Trento is well signposted. Cross the main road to Neumarkt to the riding stables, from there towards Auer, Montan, approx. 52 km, 3 hours and 35 minutes. Good journey

The "Vecia Ferovia dela Val de Fiemme" provides a route of km. 32 which winds along the route of the old Val di Fiemme train from Ora / Auer (BZ) to Molina di Fiemme (TN)
