The cycle path is very well developed and therefore easy to ride. But there are almost no rest stops. In the sweltering heat, there is no chance of resting in the shade. There is a nice spot right next to the motorway and I would not recommend it. I would not ride this cycle path again. It runs for a long time behind Bolzano right next to the motorway and is very loud.

A nice cycle path with a great panorama. However, due to its length and width, it doesn't offer much variety in the long run.

The former railway tunnels have remained unchanged over time. The only convenience is that they are illuminated and the lights are controlled by a sensor, they turn on as the cyclist approaches the tunnel. Excellent solution to avoid unnecessary waste and congratulations for the initiative.

A masterpiece of the track builders of that time, I take my hat off to them, the landscape is a dream.

Apart from the great mountain landscape, the cycle path on the Etsch is a bit boring to ride, so I cycled the first part from Meran, the wine route via Haltern and Draman, which was very nice.
