The Cavalese waterfall is fed by the Rio Val Moena, which rises in the beautiful mountain valley of the same name. It is interesting to watch how its water falls over the edge of the rocks about 20m into the depths. It looks as if it is pointing an index finger towards the sky. If you watch it from the bridge, at the outlet, you are impressed by the unbridled power of nature and feel the fine spray on your face. Several short and longer (circular) paths lead around the waterfall.

On the southern edge of Cavalese, by the picturesque Rio val Moena torrent, there is a small hiking car park for circular hikes around the Cavalese waterfall. An information board at the hiking car park shows several circular hiking trails, between 2-6 km. The car park is located directly below the waterfall. There is also the opportunity to have a picnic here.

Lago delle Buse is a small alpine lake of glacial origin located at 2,066 meters above sea level near Passo Manghen. Near the lake, near the surrounding paths, there are still ruins from the First World War. If you have enough time for a detour to reach the shores of the lake, you can enjoy a well-deserved break.

The Montalon fork is located at 2,133 meters above sea level, in the midst of the uncontaminated nature of the Lagorai group. Not far from here is Lake Montalon (located at 2,089 m above sea level) nestled between the foot of the fork and the mighty peak of Pala del Beco.

The Zoliera pass is located at over 2,200 meters above sea level and offers a splendid panorama of the valley. Here, there are still several traces of the First World War and a cross in memory of the Tyrolean Standschützen (company of riflemen). During the Great War, in fact, these areas were occupied by Austro-Hungarian soldiers, who controlled the Calamento and Campelle valleys from these positions.
