The first news about the castle dates back to around the year one thousand. Subject to the control of the Archbishops of Ravenna, in 970 it was granted as a fief to Rodolfo, Count of Rimini. very enjoyable trail around Cesena (near the castle of Sorrivoli) fairly technical and with truly unique settings and views for a "hilly" trail, to AVOID if it rained recently or heavily in the days prior to your outing, as the the ground is quite clayey, therefore very slippery, moreover the final part of the trail (fantastic from a scenic point of view) is shared with a small stream which makes it quite humid .... ;-)
