The cathedral of Randazzo is something very special. With its black lava rock I always have the feeling that I am not in Sicily.

Randazzo has many old churches and still some old portals/gates. This section of the path goes around the Duomo/Basilica/Cathedral di Santa Maria and shows the interesting church from different sides.

From the path along the Nebrodi ridge you can admire breathtaking landscapes, centuries-old woods, mountain lakes and rich biodiversity. Near Lake Biviere, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding valleys and Monte Soro, the highest peak in the Park.

Located at the foot of Etna, Bronte represents an essential stop on your journey through Sicily. With a population just over 18,000 inhabitants, Bronte is globally renowned not only for its picturesque landscapes and monuments, but above all for the green pistachio of Bronte DOP, the identity symbol of the city exported everywhere in Italy and around the world.

Lake Maulazzo is an artificial basin created in the 1980s by foresters. It is located in the Nebrodi Park at the foot of Monte Soro.

The road that leads from floresta into the park, called dorsale dei nebrodi, is really bumpy. A high car is recommended, preferably an off-road vehicle. We did it with a compact SUV very slowly and we were at the limit.
