The path, with a difference in altitude of 126.6 meters, is perfectly balanced between adventure and relaxation, suitable for walkers of all levels. The lowest point, at 24.3 meters above sea level, marks the beginning of a journey that culminates at 150.9 meters, where the view opens up onto extraordinary panoramas. Stop for a moment to admire the horizon: from here you can see the hills that merge with the sky, giving an unparalleled sense of freedom. Arriving in Siculiana, you will be welcomed by a historic village full of charm. Its narrow streets, the Chiaramonte Castle and the local traditions will offer you an authentic taste of Sicilian culture. Don't miss the opportunity to taste the typical products of the area, such as wine and local sweets.

Such a warm little village. I was in the bar opposite the church on the piazza and was greeted so warmly as if I had always lived there. Next to the church is a beautiful mural and I also had a good meal at il Pellegrino.

There is a great panoramic path at the top of the cape. It is very steep on the south side, but on the north side there are various paths that lead down to the beach.

Around the majestic cliff of the ducal castle, built by the Colonna princes, stands the picturesque village of Joppolo Giancaxio, founded in 1696 at the behest of the baron. In addition to its castle, this agricultural center is famous for the cultivation of yellow melon and for the annual festival held in early August, attracting enthusiasts and the curious.

The Torre Salsa nature reserve is an oasis protected by the WWF. Inside the reserve, there is the Salsa Tower. The coast is characterized by high overhanging cliffs and the territory is covered with vineyards, olive groves and the "Secagno" tomato, which grows only in this drought area. In spring, the 20 species of orchids bloom which can be visited by following the path from the visitor center that leads to the orchid garden.

Status May 2022. I can only confirm Anja's suggestion. The road to the Torre Salsa Reserve is in poor condition. Recommended only for cars with sufficient ground clearance; our Fiat 500 rental car lands. But you can also park directly at the intersection with the main road (see tour registration). There is now a gated house on the way. We used the garden gate as the property is not permanently inhabited. Maybe it's best to walk around generously. From the beach car park, the path is quite overgrown, but can still be found and passed. Stunning sea views. Almost no shadow all the way.
