Reaching this goal was a great satisfaction for me…it had been in my plans for a long time of peaks to reach so a little dream to realize…from up there breathtaking view obviously! 🙌🏼😃

I climbed this beautiful stretch my first time on Sunday 1 June '25 with confidence and in the end with a lot of satisfaction! At first sight coming from the path that comes from Mount Rondinaio it aroused a bit of moderate fear in me because the slope is very accentuated. Then once I started up the climb the fear immediately vanished! Beautiful view once I reached the stone that describes reaching the summit.

Monte Giovo rises next to Lago Santo in Modena and offers those who reach the top a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, being second only to Monte Cimone. The spectacle is guaranteed both from the Emilian and Tuscan sides.

Trail exposed in places. Sure-footedness and previous experience required. In the direction of Monte Giovo there is also a short stretch equipped with a fixed rope (5 meters). Caution recommended.

I traveled the route uphill, it's a terrible experience, but with good training and the right gear it can be done.
