After Lake Ampola, between Tiarno di Sopra and Storo, the valley narrows. Between the hairpin bends, half-hidden by the woods, there is a beautiful waterfall with a pool of crystalline water. Nearby are the ruins of Forte Ampola, where in July 1866 there was a battle between the Garibaldini and the Austrians.
