Church of Saints Peter and Paul (Anfo) The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is the parish church of Anfo, in the province and diocese of Brescia [ 1 ]; it is part of the pastoral area of Alta Val Sabbia. Internal Edit The interior The interior of the building consists of a single nave, over which the side chapels overlook and which is covered by a barrel vault; at the end of the hall is the presbytery, raised by a few steps, which has a quadrangular plan and is delimited by balustrades [ 3 ]. Valuable works preserved here include the frescoes depicting the Virgin of Sorrows, Saint Peter, Saint Paul, Saint Defendente and Saint Lorenzo the Martyr [2], the canvas with the Sacred Heart as the subject, painted by Giovanni Andrea Bertanza of Salonia in 1604 [3], and the altarpiece of the main altar, painted by Grazio Cossali in the first half of the 17th century [3].
