Although the tour includes some sections on the usually busy coupe d'état from Menaggio to the northern end of the lake, these are only short. The vast majority of the route runs along the former coupe d'état, which has now either been converted into a cycle path or is only used by local traffic. The appeal of the tour lies in the route, which offers magnificent views of the lake and its eastern shore.

Probably the best-run campsite in Domase. I've been here myself for over 40 years.

Rezzonico

A lovely little campsite right on Lake Como. However, arriving with a caravan on the western shore is quite nerve-wracking; some roads are very narrow, with houses on both sides, so you have to aim carefully when facing oncoming traffic. It's best to arrive very early in the morning or take the road along the eastern shore.

A walk around the lake is definitely worth it. There are many wonderful places and restaurants.

The Lungolago di Gravedona extends along the western shore of Lake Como, offering suggestive views of the Piona peninsula and Mount Legnone. Situated in the alluvial plain of the Liro torrent, it is an ideal place to enjoy the beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

In summer, take your bathing suit with you; you can swim in the mountain stream!
