The Monument La Belgique Reconnaissante is a war memorial on the Quai Belgique (!). It was erected in 1932 in honor of Belgium and its citizens for their help to the Swiss population during the First World War. The monument consists of a bronze statue of a woman carrying a child in her arms, standing on a marble pedestal. The statue symbolizes the gratitude of Switzerland to Belgium and its citizens for their help and support during the war. The monument is located in a park in Lausanne and is a reminder of the strong ties between the two countries.
