The Métairie des Plânes is one of those charming and unpretentious summer restaurants typical of the Jura region. The farmhouse, which has stood right by the roadside since 1699, invites you to enjoy a relaxing break in its beautiful interior or, weather permitting, on wooden benches outside. They offer the finest regional specialties, such as fondue, meringues, and a variety of cheese and meat platters. Many old trees, some with enormous trunks, surround the Métairie! It is open during the summer months from May onwards, Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm. Payment is cash only (no Twint or credit cards).

Beautiful mountain hut, friendly, easily accessible on foot and by mountain bike

Technically very easy - beautiful view of the Alps, Lake Murten, Lake Biel and Lake Neuchâtel.

Please note: following a landslide, Combe Grède is closed until further notice.

Particularly beautiful in winter when the fog covers the central plateau.

When the weather is clear, the viewer is presented with a wonderful alpine spectacle. From Säntis to Mont Blanc, the entire alpine ensemble is represented.

Lake Biel, Lake Murten and Lake Neuchâtel. When the view is clear and unobstructed, it's a real eye-catcher in blue among all the green. But you need good eyes to see Lake Murten in the middle.

The view from the Chasseral is always worth it, especially during the week when there are not so many visitors.
