The Métairie des Plânes is one of those charming and unpretentious summer restaurants typical of the Jura region. The farmhouse, which has stood right by the roadside since 1699, invites you to enjoy a relaxing break in its beautiful interior or, weather permitting, on wooden benches outside. They offer the finest regional specialties, such as fondue, meringues, and a variety of cheese and meat platters. Many old trees, some with enormous trunks, surround the Métairie! It is open during the summer months from May onwards, Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm. Payment is cash only (no Twint or credit cards).

The ride up on the cable car and the view from the plateau across to the Chasseral and down to St. Imier is beautiful.

From the Col du Mont Crosin you always have a beautiful view of the ridge of the Chasserals

Bird's-eye view of the Grède valley and the Saint-Imier valley. The Combe-Grède nature reserve is home to exceptional flora and fauna, and you can spot chamois, peregrine falcons and marmots.
