Cicognola offers a splendid castle and an equally interesting panoramic point on the hills of the Oltrepò Pavese. Stop in this small town for a break and to admire its beauties.

In the Colombarone hamlet of Canneto Pavese you can feel an atmosphere of times gone by, where everything seems to have stopped a few decades ago.

Not far from Castana in the Oltrepò Pavese, in Rocchetta, there is a panoramic view of the underlying valley of the Scuropasso stream and the surrounding hills. In this area, the hilly landscape is characterized by extensive vineyards aligned in long rows.

Not far from Castana in the Oltrepò Pavese, in Rocchetta, there is a panoramic point overlooking the underlying Scuropasso stream and the surrounding hills. Here the hilly landscape is dominated by long rows of vineyards.

In a high-altitude position, on top of a fortress and in a strategic position on the Scuropasso Valley. During the Middle Ages it had a defensive function and control of the traffic towards Emilia. It was built in the first decades of the 13th century.

The building dates back to the beginning of the 13th century. It belonged to the Sannazzaro family, to the Beccaria family from 1406, to Giorgio Aicardi from 1415, later called Visconti Aicardi Scaramuzza. In the eighteenth century it passed to Barbara D'Adda and then to her son Alberico Barbiano di Belgioioso. Under Napoleon, the assets were bought by the Gazzaniga: from these they passed to the Arnaboldi Gazzaniga, then to the Brichetto Arnaboldi.
