The Musse:um circular trail leads from the Tavel memorial to Bütschelegg and back to the Tavel memorial via Gschneit. On this themed hiking trail, nine special Musse benches, varied landscapes and wonderful views of the Bernese peaks await you. Along the way, you can refresh yourself in cozy inns and learn more about Rudolf von Tavel's novels at the Tavel memorial. Have fun hiking! 🥾

The Tavel Memorial is a wonderful viewpoint near Gschneit/Oberbütschel, on the Längenberg. Here, a view of the Alps and the glittering Lake Thun opens up. The plaque honors the Bernese German poet Rudolf von Tavel, who was inspired by this panorama. This place is not only a popular destination for hikers, but also for walkers who want to enjoy nature. In winter, children can sled down the small hill and breathe in the fresh mountain air. The viewpoint is easily accessible from the Gschneit car park in just a few minutes' walk and is often above the high fog, which makes the view even more spectacular.
