9월 2, 2025, Kobarid World War I Museum
A well-researched history of World War I in this region. The 12 Battles of the Isonzo took place here. The result was well over 1 million dead and wounded on both sides, but many times more for the Italians. In the first 11 battles, the Italians failed to achieve their goal of breaking through to Trieste. In the 12th battle, the Austrians (supported by German troops) launched a surprise counterattack and drove the Italians back to the Piave River.

7월 24, 2025, Cepletischis Clock Tower and War Memorial
A historic classic, like many other mountain villages in this area. On a small platform stands a church with a solitary steeple and a memorial to the fallen of both World Wars. Rating: definitely worth seeing!

The signposts are helpful in finding the viewpoint. Even though the walk from the bottom takes about 15 minutes, it's advisable to wear sturdy shoes.

Only 5km climb but very tough, average 11%. It has the advantage of being mostly shaded then the descent towards Savogna remains in the sun

Excellent refreshment point at the base of the climb to Mount Matajur. The water in the fountain is not drinkable, but on hot summer days it still allows you to cool off, while the shade of the trees provides a bit of respite from the sun before tackling the climb (or at the end of the descent).

Beautiful point where you can see the green-blue water of the Soca. Take the small road on the left bank, very quiet.

The Kobari Museum developed from the museum collection, which was organized by the locals in 1990. Initially, he worked within the Kobarid Tourist Association. After five years, the founders, in agreement with the Ministry of Culture, transferred management to a non-profit limited liability company, which still manages the museum today. In 2011, the Kobari Museum entered the list of Slovenian museums. For his work, he received the highest national award in museology – the Valvasor Award. He was nominated for an EMYA and won a Council of Europe award. So far, it has been visited by many high-ranking personalities, from monarchs, three presidents of the European Parliament, numerous presidents of countries, governments, ministers, presidents of various world associations, churches to Nobel laureates. The Kobari Museum is located in Maser's House, which dates back to 1739. It is a powerful, characteristically built apartment building similar to a manor. The house was initially owned by the Peteani and Obreza families, later it became the property of four generations of Masera. In 1976, it was badly damaged by an earthquake, but in 1990, it was restored and the Kobari Museum opened in it, with the basic theme of the First World War in Kobari.
