there is a source of sulphurous water nearby and also a waterfall, we didn't eat at the refuge but we had a nice cold beer after finishing the bike ride there, I recommend it

Easily reachable by MTB from Claut (PN) through the immense and beautiful Val Settimana. It is located in a great silent and relaxing place, in winter the bivouac is open.

Cimolais is a small town with a few hundred inhabitants. It is located at the exit of the Cimoliana stream, then a tributary of the Cellina, from the Cimoliana valley of the same name, which is a paradise for trail running, surrounded by the spectacular Friulian Dolomites. The paths around here pass through picturesque woods, offering good terrain for those who love mountain running.

The refuge is open today and there are several hikers, it offers a beautiful view of the valley below, it has tables inside and a terrace outside. The kind and friendly owner had us prepare 2 excellent tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. The place is well kept tidy and clean.
