The Kaserer Alm is up there. What a landscape. The descent via the Jägersteig and up to the Hochmuth is not easy, but I will always remember it.

The ascent and descent are difficult but definitely worth it. Bringing provisions, especially drinks and refreshments, is recommended. Weather protection (rain/cold) and hiking boots with sturdy soles and good tread are essential. Even in summer, you'll cross snowfields. Anyone who has hiked there will have a lifetime of memories.

Now in June there were even ice floes floating here - a really beautiful mountain lake with crystal clear water. The name "Pfitscher Lacke" is probably of pre-Romanesque origin (in German: it's hard to explain 😉).

The Kaserlacke (also officially called Kasersee) is one of the Spronser lakes (Italian: "Laghi di Sopranes"), a group of ten high-alpine mountain lakes in the Texel Group in South Tyrol. The lake has a muddy and sandy bottom. She has a small grass island near the drain. The entire south shore is built up by a slate wall. The Lacke is fed by the upper Spronser lakes and the Pfitschlacke. Its outflow forms the Spronser or Finele Bach. (Source: Wikipedia)
