The climb to Mount Misone begins steeply between natural steps and alpine meadows, and then plunges into a shaded forest. After the hairpin bends, the path opens onto gentle rocky pastures, leading to the small summit cross. From up here, the view is simply spectacular: Lake Garda stretches out on the horizon, while Lake Tenno shines with its turquoise waters, nestled between the mountains.

The road that climbs above the Castiol saddle seems to immerse itself in the thick woods, but as you gain altitude towards Mount Misone, Lake Garda peeps out from between the branches and bushes. Closer, the little jewel of Lake Tenno appears, with its sparkling turquoise waters.

an engraving on the bridge recalls that the current bridge was rebuilt in 1868 after the Austrians ordered its destruction during the Italian Wars of Independence. Tradition calls it a Roman bridge, but little is known about whether it existed in Ancient Rome.

What a surprise to find such a well-kept gem on the "hills"...here you can "spend an hour" in peace...just relax, listen to "nature" and enjoy the view...(culture meets nature)
