Beautiful area characterized by centuries-old chestnut trees. Large grassy spaces just outside the woods along the mule track. Benches available for seating.

A refuge with a capital R, run by the La Cordillera association. Exceptional traditional cuisine and truly fair prices, with all proceeds going to charity. The guys who work there are always willing to lend a hand and deserve all the help they can get, even if it means buying the amazing T-shirts they sell.

A small bivouac located near the Forca Pass. The interior is charming, and there's some water and food available for real emergencies. Definitely a local gem.

A good place to stop for lunch after touring the ridges of Mount Alben. It's also run by an association that raises funds for missions in South America, so besides having a bite to eat, you're doing a good deed.

The bivouac is always open, well-maintained, and stocked with emergency supplies. Excellent shelter in case of rain. Treat with respect, as with all bivouacs!

Excellent refuge nestled in the basin of the mountain of the same name

This small building is open in the summer and serves as a useful shelter in bad weather. It is located just above the Alben refuge, near the Forca Pass. The trail to reach it is easy and suitable for everyone (training permitting). Nearby destinations include the Alben refuge, the Forca Pass, the Cima Alben, and the Cima della Spada.

Absolutely recommended (opinion limited to the spring period 17/05) From the start of the path in the woods, passing through the open clearing in the upper valley, to the path on the crests, returning with a circular tour, truly a beautiful route. Excellent stop at the Alben refuge managed magnificently by the guys from the La Cordillera Association (truly splendid and very good at welcoming) I would recommend reaching the summit to expert hikers, more for the physical effort than the technical one, however not to be underestimated for some suggestive and quite technical passages. Absolutely recommended as long as you are educated people and know how to respect its integrity.
