Grinzane Cavour is a municipality in the Langhe area, in Piedmont. The name pays homage to Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, who was mayor of Grinzane for 17 years. In Grinzane Cavour it is possible to visit the splendid medieval castle of Grinzane, still perfectly preserved.

Monforte d'Alba, a medieval village embraced by the Langa del Barolo, has recently joined the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Winding streets wind towards its main square and the suggestive open-air amphitheater, from which the gaze is lost among the vineyards. In this place steeped in millenary history, you can admire the splendid panorama of the surrounding Langhe and get lost in the streets of the small village.

It is the church OF the Blessed Virgin of the Snow. Building with a beautiful facade that catches my eye at every step in the village. Monforte is a little gem as well as an orange flag for the quality of life.

It is piazza Umberto I, the so-called "cafe square, since here there are several bars and various services literally besieged, especially on weekends, by cyclists and motorcyclists. Sitting at a table in a bar, I could see the street that climbs steep and leads to the famous amphitheater.

The Castello Falletti, the crowd puller of Barolo was built as a defensive fortress and is a landmark for many kilometres in the Langhe landscape. Small narrow streets with one or more wine bars create a lively atmosphere in the medieval settlement. The foundations from the 10th century keep our feet firmly on the ground. The strategic location of the renovated 13th century castle still offers beautiful views over the surrounding hills and vineyards today.

Experience La Morra in Piedmont La Morra is a medieval wine village in the UNESCO area. You drive zigzagging up the mountain past fields full of vines in the Langhe to this lovely village. The view is breathtaking. The best wineries and vineyards are located around the beautiful village. However, too many wineries to visit in one trip. To illustrate, even Julius Ceaser would have stopped here on his journey from France to taste the divine grape juice of La Morra. So for a first-class box of wine, go here. La Morra is derived from the word Mura, which means fence. The Benedictine monks used to use the area to keep animals. These city walls have been demolished over the centuries. However, remains are still visible. The noble Falletti family is one of the most influential families of the Langhe. In 1340 they bought the village from the King of Naples. On Via XX Settembre you will find Palazzo Falletti-Corder. Recognizable by the family coat of arms. The first Barolo is said to have been produced in the cellars of this impressive building. About 160 years ago, two lovers from this family planted a cedar tree on Collina (hill) Falletti, between the vineyards. As a symbol of their love that would live on in this way for generations to come.
