The Catholic parish church of St. Kilian is one of the oldest churches in the Prince-Bishopric of Paderborn. Like no other building, it shapes the village's character and is well-known to many. Centrally located on a raised point in the valley is the cruciform, three-aisled basilica, which dates back to the 12th/13th century. This ancient church houses remarkable art treasures from various centuries: a Romanesque baptismal font (circa 1170), a Gothic folding altarpiece, a Renaissance epitaph of the Knights of Brenken (16th century), two oil paintings, two cast-iron gravestones, a ceiling painting, and much more.
