Finalborgo is surrounded by a wall built around 1447 by Giovanni I del Carretto and from these walls there are four access gates to the village: one of these is Porta Testa on the western side which bears the construction date of 10 June 1452. In the 19th century the gate was modified and, in addition to the inscriptions in Gothic characters and the coat of arms of Giovanni I del Carretto, which already existed, it was raised, adding a bell tower with a clock and a fresco of the Madonna.
