6월 30, 2024, Source of the Tiber River Monument
The source of the Tiber river is located on the slopes of Mount Fumaiolo at 1,268 meters above sea level, on the side that faces Tuscany, near Le Balze, a hamlet of the municipality of Verghereto (in the province of Forlì-Cesena). This river, also known as "the river sacred to the destinies of Rome," originates within a beech forest thanks to two springs called "the Vene," which are located just 10 meters from each other.

My suggestion is that you should first learn Italian and geography well, because the word mouth does not indicate the source of a river, but its outlet. Hello and.........study!

12월 5, 2022, Colle del Barbotto Summit
Existing since the 1950s, the bar on the top of Colle del Barbotto has seen many editions of the Giro d'Italia pass through here, among other races. Here the piadina is excellent, the tagliatelle are exquisite and cycling memorabilia abounds. The current owner, Francesco, is a great bike enthusiast and will welcome those who ride with open arms.

One of the most famous climbs in all of Romagna, the Barbotto was decisive in the Giro Donne 2022: with over 50 kilometers to go, Annemiek Van Vleuten managed to make the difference here, winning the stage and mortgaging her third Giro. The Barbotto is also one of the hardest climbs of the Nove Colli gran Fondo. The noble side is the one that rises from Mercato Saraceno and on the top there is a plaque commemorating one who often trained here: Marco Pantani.

A suggestive location especially in autumn where the undergrowth is covered with red leaves everywhere. However, in this case, be extremely careful where you put your feet and wheels, DANGER OF FALLS.

The source of the Tiber river is located on Monte Fumaiolo at 1205 meters above sea level. It is indicated by a stele inaugurated on 15 August 1934 which surmounts a basin fed by a fountain. The water gushes from the mountain and after having lapped the stele it begins its journey towards Rome. On the stele is engraved the inscription: "Here is born the river sacred to the destinies of Rome - O. N. D - August 15th MCMXXXIV. A. XII. E. F.".

The Hermitage of Sant'Alberico stands at m. 1,147 above sea level halfway between the town of Balze and the Celle monastery in a deep gorge at the foot of the Aquilone, Celle and Ocri mountains. It is a place of austere solitude where silence reigns, which invites reflection and prayer. “The hermits point out to every man that interior aspect of the mystery of the Church which is personal intimacy with Christ. Hidden from the eyes of men, the hermit's life is the silent preaching of the One to whom he has handed over his life, since he is everything to him. It is a particular call to find in the desert, precisely in spiritual combat, the glory of the Crucifix". (Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 921). “The internal and external separation from the world testifies to the temporariness of the present time, with fasting and penance they attest that man does not live by bread alone, but by the Word of God” (see Mt 4.4). “The hermits, in the depths of their solitude, not only do not escape ecclesial communion, but serve it with their specific contemplative charism” (Vita Consecrata 7.42). The hermit's solitude allows him to welcome and give new life to his solitary prayer, full of compassion for every pain, to become a universal heart. The hermit is someone who God has seduced and who allowed himself to be seduced.

7월 30, 2021, Lago dei Pontini
Lago dei Pontini (748 meters above sea level) and Lago Lungo (616 meters above sea level) are located on the slopes of Mount Còmero. They were formed following a huge landslide that broke out on 15 February 1855 from San Cataldo, on the north-west side of the Còmero, and which in its slow flow destroyed around fifty homes, including the Baroncioni village and the church of Crocesanta, and then reach the Savio, temporarily blocking its course. Around them there is an ancient chestnut grove which includes many centuries-old plants. Today the delightful stretches of water - the largest (2.5 hectares) is that of the Pontini - surrounded by centuries-old chestnut trees and lush nature, are ideal places for leisure and relaxation. There are refreshment points with local gastronomic specialties, picnic areas, paths for healthy walks on foot, by MTB or on horseback. 6월 14, 2021, Le Gualchiere di Bagno di Romagna
The term fulling machine identifies a machine powered by hydraulic energy used in the manufacture of wool ... ... The term Fullers literally refers to machines, but then it almost always went to identify the building and the place where these machines were placed. The Fullers of Bagno di Romagna ..... are located on the "Strada per Serra", now renamed Via Romea di Stade, and along the Fosso del Capanno (originally), today Fosso delle Gualchiere in this section. A certain date of the construction of this pre-industrial production center is not known, however it is known with certainty that in 1530 the rich Balassini family of Bagno di Romagna obtained the concession of this place where two fullers and a mill were active. Over the decades and centuries, the members of the Balassini family proved to be very hardworking people with strong entrepreneurial skills. At the Gualchiere, in addition to trying their hand at various craft and commercial works, they planted an

8월 21, 2020, Source of the Tiber River Monument
The mouth of the Tiber River is located at 1,268 meters above sea level. Here, in the middle of the pristine forest, on a small clearing there is a travertine column that marks the point where the source emerges from the mountain. The source was once located in Tuscany. It was Benito Mussolini who, in 1923, moved the regional borders, including Mount Fumaiolo and the so-called Romagna Toscana in the region east of the Apennines: this was to accommodate his desire that the sources of the Tiber be located in the Forlì area, that is, in his home province. The dictator born in Predappio himself had the monument built to the source, inaugurated during a solemn ceremony in 1934. On it appear three wolf heads surmounted by an eagle facing Rome (an imperial symbol reused in the fascist era), with the rhetorical phrase engraved "Here is born the river sacred to the destinies of Rome". (Source: https://www.romagnadavivere.it/itinerari/sul-monte-fumaiolo-dove-nasce-il-fiume-tevere/ ) The place was also known as "The veins of the Tiber", since the river was born from the confluence of two or three streams. 8월 15, 2020, Eremo di Sant'Alberico
The Hermitage of Sant’Alberico stands at 1,147 meters above sea level, halfway between the village of Balze and the Celle monastery in a deep gorge at the foot of the Aquilone, Celle and Ocri mountains. It is a place of austere solitude where silence reigns, which invites reflection and prayer. (Source: http://www.eremosantalberico.it/news.php ) It is the only one of the many medieval monasteries and hermitages in this area that has remained active to the present day. The life of the founder Alberico, who died around 1050, is poorly documented: he built a hermitage under a rugged slope of Fumaiolo – a cell and two caves dug into the rock – where he lived in penance and sanctity, performing miracles and curing abdominal diseases and hernias. The hermitage, of Benedictine foundation, passed to the Camaldolese who looked after it from the 12th century until 1822 when, together with the nearby "grancia" or farm that they owned in the nearby Cella "inter ambas Paras", it was sold to private individuals and soon fell into ruin. It was Monsignor Francesco Dezzi della Falera (1842-1921) who rescued it from abandonment: having received it as an inheritance, in 1873 he rebuilt it from the ground up, erecting a small church and some rooms for the hermit; but above all he revived the cult of Sant'Alberico. Today it is entrusted to the hermit Giovanbattista Ferro. In the small stone church with a nave are preserved a tibia of the Holy founder and a stone statue, which the faithful use to rest on their abdomen to obtain the miracle of healing. The hermitage is equipped to welcome overnight stays (13 places) only for retreats and spiritual exercises. (Source: http://www.fumaioloturismo.it/-/verghereto-eremo-di-sant-alberico-abbazie ) The very long history of the Hermitage can also be found at https://www.homolaicus.com/storia/locale/s-alberico.htm.
