Located near the village of Spina, the Rocca di Sant'Apollinare is a place rich in history and timeless images. Once a defensive fortress, it became a place of worship and production, and today it is immersed in a centuries-old olive grove. Getting there requires a bit of effort, but the reward is guaranteed.

The Bailey Bridge, a structure originally built as a military bridge, has now become a tangible symbol of connection and rebirth. Crossing it means moving from recent history to the area's most ancient history, rediscovering the value of connections—not only physical, but also cultural and social.

The Fersinone is a 27 km long Umbrian stream, the main right tributary of the Nestore River, with its source on Mount Poggio Spaccato and its mouth near Morcella. It has a torrential character, alternating winter floods and summer droughts, and is fed by numerous tributaries. Rich in history and biodiversity, prehistoric and Etruscan remains have been discovered along its banks. Its sulfurous waters were once a destination for local tourists due to their supposed beneficial properties.

When you leave the provincial road of Spina, after a short stretch of easy dirt road you come across the intersection for the Nestore ring. You can also do it on Gravel, but I recommend MTB, in some sections the terrain is a bit "technical". The section inside the woods is beautiful

On the route through the Umbrian countryside between Castiglione della Valle and Mercatello, skirting the small village of Pieve Caina, you'll come across charming, often abandoned, yet very characteristic buildings that are worth a stop and a photo.

A small hamlet at the foot of Mount Pugliano, you can still see the remains of the castle tower, now in ruins. In the Middle Ages it was very popular with the nobility of Perugia
