The forest is on the right after passing Lago dell’Orso. The characteristic shape of the beech trees is given by the weight of the snow that bends their branches.

The Bear Lake is located at 1650 meters above sea level once you leave the forest in the direction of the path to Pizzo di Moscio. The lake is no longer visible in summer. The view of the Monti della Laga is beautiful

The Refuge is located along the path that goes up to Lago dell'Orso (now no longer visible). Unfortunately it is not well maintained, perhaps used by shepherds passing through those places. Near the Refuge you can admire a native cultivation of Genziana.

Waterfall within the Gran Sasso Monti della Laga area. Spectacular and reachable with a nice walk from Bosco Martese.

The route that leads to the Morricana waterfall starts from the Ceppo square with a dirt path, totally immersed in poplar and fir vegetation, cool and shaded. Also accessible by bike. Then the route climbs towards the waterfalls crossing small fords created by the waters flowing down into the valley. Always route in the shade.
