Benches with a great view to the north!

According to a visitation report from the Schuld parish, the St. Apollinaris Chapel in Winnerath was built in 1666. In 1897, the chapel tower was so dilapidated that it had to be renovated and re-roofed the following year. In 1926, the chapel was enlarged with an extension. In 1960, the chapel was renovated again. In front of the chapel stands a 300-year-old wych elm, which even adorns the coat of arms of the local community of Winnerath.
