The Refuge is located along the path that goes up to Lago dell'Orso (now no longer visible). Unfortunately it is not well maintained, perhaps used by shepherds passing through those places. Near the Refuge you can admire a native cultivation of Genziana.

Located at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level, the Fioretti refuge is one of the few managed refuges that are located along the Apennines. It is still worth reaching the refuge that offers enchanting views of the Gran Sasso massif and in particular of Mount Corvo.

This small stone shelter was once managed. Today it seems abandoned but still enjoys a special charm. Nestled between the high and imposing peaks of Mount Corvo and Pizzo d'Intermesoli, with an incredible view towards the Adriatic Sea. A fountain, still perfectly functional, offers very fresh water even on hot summer days. A peaceful place to visit even with a simple day trip from Prato Selva.

The Rifugio del Monte is located at an altitude of 1,614 metres. From here it is possible to enjoy a panorama that includes Pizzo d'Intermesoli, Corno Grande and Corno Piccolo.

The Rifugio del Cegno (1654 m) can also be reached by car. The various shelters in the area are used by shepherds in the summer.
