From the split mountain the path is direct and well placed. The most difficult but still suggestive part is the stony path in the woods and the immensity of the forest that dominates it.

Suggestive to say the least, very low grass and populated by cows and horses. An excellent refreshment point before the summit!

Path to Pratone and Monte Gennaro, very well laid out and easy to follow. The path to Mount Morra is currently closed by a gate so conditions are uncertain. In the woods, pay attention to the path called "L Uva Spina" which connects the meadow to the Falicchio meadow. It is very well marked with BLUE CIRCLES rather than the classic white and red trail markers.

More than a trail marker, this ancient beech tree is a timepiece! Perhaps this is why some of its protruding roots protect a small improvised nativity scene. The "troscia" indicates the puddle of water that you come across on the path just south of the beech tree.

Large grassy clearing of karst nature, one kilometer long and about 500 meters wide. For hundreds of years it has been the destination of the transhumance of local shepherds. Today you can admire horses and cows grazing in the wild.

Monte Gennaro is the second highest peak (1271 meters above sea level) of the Monti Lucretili Park. The official name of the mountain is Monte Zappi, but among the locals it is better known as Monte Gennaro. Monte Gennaro is visible from Rome.

In mtb you go up with the bike on your shoulder! It can be reached either from the Monte Gennaro meadow or from the Monte Gennaro refuge. Nice hike but still worth it
