The Vali di Monte Salviano is located at 902 m above sea level within the homonymous nature reserve. In 2000 the work entitled "Teatro della Germinazione" was installed, a sculpture by the artist Pietro Cascella.

The Fucino plain is located between 650 and 680 m a.s.l. and is surrounded by mountains. The morphology of the surrounding area confirms that where today there is the basin with cultivated fields, there used to be a large basin of water (it was the third largest lake in Italy).

Telespazio's "Piero Fanti" Space Center stands on the Fucino plain. The Center has been active since 1963 and today has 170 antennas and covers an area of 370,000 m2. It is recognized as the first and most important "teleport" in the world for civilian use. In addition, part of Elettra, the laboratory ship on which Guglielmo Marconi carried out many of his radiophonic experiments, is conserved and visible in the Centre. In fact here is the stern section of the ship with the propeller and the rudder

The Avezzano pine forest is an oasis of tranquility in the Marsican city. The paved roads cross the thick vegetation and inside the park there are several paths that can be traveled on foot or by bike.

Magliano de' Marsi is an ancient medieval village which unfortunately has been affected by earthquakes over time. Surrounded by mountains, it remains an impressive place.

Piccolomini Castle is a medieval-Renaissance castle. Built by Antonio Piccolomini, grandson of Pope Pius II, in 1460, it is now a hotel and has been used as a location for several Italian films.
