While the original, old town is located on the western hill, the modern, new town has been built on the eastern peak.

The current building dates from 1885 and is the work of the famous Alberobello architect Antonio Curri. The church is linked to the cult of the saints, and inside there are two wooden statues (1782 and 1784) and a reliquary with bone fragments of San Cosma and San Damiano.
