The Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is the religious hub of Bisignano, in Calabria. Characterized by a Norman architectural design, the cathedral has suffered damage from earthquakes, but still retains precious elements such as the pointed arch portal and interiors decorated with religious scenes. It is an integral part of the archdiocese of Cosenza-Bisignano.

The Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Serra is the Mother Church of Montalto Uffugo. It was built in the 13th century on the remains of an older church, and was restored several times due to earthquakes. It is famous for the miracle of the tearing of a statue of the Madonna which occurred in 1572.

The Cathedral of Bisignano, the heart of the town of the same name, is an important historical testimony. Built in the XIII century, it represents a fundamental part of the cultural heritage of Bisignano.

The Rendano theater of Cosenza is the municipal theater of the city, dedicated to the musician Alfonso Rendano. It is located in the historic center and was inaugurated in 1909 with Verdi's Aida. It has a horseshoe-shaped hall with more than 800 seats and hosts performances of various genres.

The historic center of the city of Cosenza is located on seven hills, like Rome, and preserves evidence of different eras and cultures. In ancient times it was the capital of the Bruzi, an Italic population that opposed the Romans, and it was also the favorite seat of Frederick II of Swabia, who built a castle with polygonal towers there.
