This beautiful sun aligned sculpture has a vertical sundial and a calendar. The gnomon is very high and has two purposes. The black vertical marble stone has a dial engraved. The gnomon is a large metal stick that comes from the ground, crosses, and surpasses the vertical marble stone. On the other side of the vertical marble, lying on the floor, you can see the annalema. Unfortunately, the trees don't let the light through. If they had, you could see the month of the year reflected on it.

In May 2019, the water buffalo were resettled in the Bottwar meadows as part of the project for home, people, and nature. Their stable and pasture are located on the road between Großbottwar and Kleinbottwar.

The wetland can be viewed from a small jetty and is home to kingfishers, dragonflies and various amphibians and reptiles.
