The Val d'Ambra lake is a small artificial basin located in the Lower Leventina in the Canton of Ticino. It was created in 1965 by a 32 meter high dam blocking the Rierna River. The Val d'Ambra starts from here, a side valley of the Ticino valley rich in history and nature.

A good place to take a break - here at the small pedestrian bridge in Biasca you can relax and look into the Brenno valley and enjoy the view.
