Pico Pedriguera (1867 m) is an excellent viewpoint, where you can reach both from Puerto de la Morcuera and from Puerto de Canencia in an excursion of a few hours. Although the climb is quite demanding, the effort is worth it, for the wonderful views of Peñalara, Najarra and Cuerda Larga. On the other side, you can see Buitrago with its reservoir and in the background, the Sierra de Ayllón and the Lobo peak.

From this elevated point the views of the Guadarrama mountain range, in general, and particularly of Cuerda Larga and La Pedriza, are spectacular.

La Solana is another of the peaks that separate the Sierra de Hoyo from the plains of Manzanares. It has a height of 1,002 meters and is very close to the town of Hoyo de Manzanares. The trig point was built on July 15, 1975. It should not be confused with the Solana peak, very close to the town of Moralzarzal. Next to the vertex there is a forest surveillance post equipped with a radio station, antenna and lightning rod, which is included in zone 5 of the INFOMA region.
