Done with a loaded bike, it takes guts and a steady pace. But if you're adventurous, it's doable. Some crossings are missing due to lightning strikes. The bushes are fig trees, not thorns.

There's currently no way through this old railway bridge. The access is completely overgrown with thorns and 2-meter-high bushes. It's a shame, it would be a great shortcut.

October 2023, just crossed the bridge. Was a bit of a thriller though, many boards are lose. Pretty sketchy. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re looking for adventure. You need to be able to carry your bike at times. Don’t do this with kids.

We crossed the bridge, with bike and panniers, in December. The path to the bridge has got plants indeed but was easy enough for us to cycle through. Maybe this changes in Spring or Summer. The bridge seemed strong enough still, the wooden beams are supported by the steal ones underneath. Just at some time there's no wood and you have to carefully move your bike onto others etc. Slowly Slowly and with care and it's an amazing shortcut, we feel. Good luck

The road entering the bridge is completely obstructed by dense vegetation. We didn't manage to find a way in. As far as we are concerned, we do not recommand to count on this bridge when planning a tour in this area.

It's possible to cross the bridge by bike, but it's pretty dangerous. You have to push the bike slowly over the beams.

White soft sandy beach relatively undisturbed a couple of miles south of town. The nearby saltworks are interesting to visit, and just a few hundred yards inlands back on the road to the salines are some mudponds popular with enthusiasts of health and fun baths in the salty mud.
