Wonderful canyon, location of films by Terence Hill and Bud Spencer..

Very beautiful gorge, which you can also take a quick stop in. "Four Fists for a Hallelujah", or more precisely the bean soup scene, was filmed there and you can take some funny photos. You can park at various entrances. The gorge itself is narrower than the film spot.

The Gole del Salinello are located in Abruzzo, within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. The Salinello river has created a deep gorge between the Twin Mountains.

The Grotta di Sant'Angelo, in the heart of the Montagna dei Fiori, is one of the most interesting rock cavities of the Italian prehistory of the Monti della Laga. The hermitage cave opens at the beginning of the path that leads to the Salinello gorges.

We were there in July. The route is sunny, I recommend less hot times of the day. There is a drinking fountain in the picnic area before the trailhead but it was out of water. Still a wonderful place

Val Maone is one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in the Gran Sasso massif. There are waterfalls, vast alpine meadows and jagged peaks: a marvel!

The signposted route includes some points where you need a fair amount of training and experience, especially in the colder and more humid months.

There are endless words to describe this magical place. The most suitable is perhaps FANTASTIC... Crossing this canyon in silence, alone or with friends, is one of the things that will remain etched in the mind and heart ❤
