Rondslottet is the highest peak in the Rondane range at 2,178 metres (7,146 ft). It's the crowning point of a rugged and complex massif that along contains neighbouring Storronden. The peak is usually either climbed from Rondvassbu to the south-west via Rondholet and Vinjeronden, or from Bjørnhollia to the south-east via Langglupdalen.

A mighty 7,014 foot (2,138 m) summit, Storronden is a great objective from the Rondvassbu DNT cabin. It rises to the south of Rondeslottet and the two can be linked via a col.

Vinjeronden is a spectacular summit that make tackle on the way to Rondeslottet, the highest mountain in Rondane National Park. It's a challenging 8-mile run from the Rondvassbu DNT cabin to Rondeslottet and twice as far from the parking at Spranget.

At 7,146 feet (2,178 m), Rondeslottet is the highest summit in Rondane National Park. It's name translates as 'the Castle of Rondane'. The summit makes for a great adventure run from the nearby Rondvassbu DNT hut.

The route starts at the car park and from there it goes towards the mountain. The first river crossing can be mastered easily with your shoes off. In mid-September there is nothing going on in the village itself and it is deserted. The second river crossing is no longer passable from mid-September (we were there on 20 September) as the boards for crossing are pulled out over the winter. The current is relatively strong! A bypass is possible by returning to the village and after one of the first crossings again. To do this, follow the river down the other side to the same road (no guarantee of solid ground!). The hike is easy until mid-September, after that it is not an easy task due to the large amount of water and lack of crossing options.

A beautiful hike with some highlights. The hiking trail has some rocky sections, so surefootedness and good footwear are a must. Then there are the hurdles to overcome. We had to cross a wild stream in a rather awkward way.

Muen is the highest peak in Ringebu municipality and offers rewarding views from the summit. A well-marked path leads from the south side up to the summit. The elevation difference is approximately 400 meters from the street parking lot.

Fantastic view. Including Rondane, Jotunheimen Sollia and many, many other mountains. On the summit there are many stones that have already been used to build vardens, windbreaks and other things. My kid loved building up there. And climbing from stone to stone on the way high in the scree. There are blueberries on the path further down.
