This expansive nature reserve invites you to a tranquil drive through a unique moorland landscape. Rare plants such as white beak-sedge, sphagnum mosses, and the large red damselfly make their home here. On quiet paths, you'll experience one of the last remaining living raised bogs in Lower Saxony – an impressive, almost untouched natural gem in the heart of the Hunte-Leda moorland.

"Use dependent on the tide The pedestrian and cycle path can only be used at certain times, as the bridge must be opened for shipping traffic. Two hours before and after high tide, ships must cross the bridge; during these times, the path is closed to pedestrians and cyclists. During operating hours, the bridge is operated from the bridge operator's house. Deutsche Bahn provides information about the exact opening times on its website in the "Downloads" section. Notices on site also provide information about the current operating hours."
