A very luxurious shelter place: each of the 4 shelters can sleep up to 5 or 6 people; Firewood is usually available; there are 2 clean flush toilets; The beach is quickly accessible via a footbridge through the reeds and is relatively empty. If all shelters are occupied, there are 2 more shelters about 1km away (in the direction of Hirtshals).

this forest path ...This cycle path is officially called "Vestkystruten" in Denmark. In Germany as the North Sea Coast Route. There are also numerous free accommodation options along the route. It's called a shelter! This is commonly referred to as "EuroVelo 12". It is part of a more than 7,250 km long cycle path around the North Sea. From Hirtshals the cycle route continues through Lilleheden and Uggerby dune plantations (woodland) to Tversted. Tversted lures with stunning sunsets, beaches, art, jazz and the warm atmosphere of a beach holiday with peace and joy. The North Sea Coast Cycle Route continues from Tversted via Råbjerg Mile (shifting dune) to Skagen. Skagen is an international tourist destination with visitors from all over the world. The North Sea Coast Cycle Route (Vestkystruten) is 560 km long, from north to south. The cycle route follows the Danish west coast.
