The hut is simply furnished and offers protection from wind and weather, making it an ideal stopover on hikes. However, part of it is locked and it looks as if the idyllic hut can be rented for parties.

The wind farm consists of 18 Enercon E-115 wind turbines with a total output of 54.9 MW. The wind farm is operated by ZEAG Energie AG, and the municipalities of Hardthausen am Kocher, Widdern, Möckmühl, Forchtenberg and Jagsthausen are involved. A special feature of this project is the close cooperation with the municipalities and citizens. Through the model of a citizens' energy cooperative, citizens and associations also participate in the profits from the wind turbines. The wind farm was built in several stages and has been fully operational since the end of 2018. The Harthäuser Wald wind farm is an example of how the energy transition can be designed successfully and in harmony with people and nature.

The Gemmingen office building in Widdern, right next to Gemmingen Castle, was built in 1584. It was bought by the city in 1846, which set up teachers' apartments here. Like the castle, this building also has a round stair tower. The building is now used for residential purposes and houses a broom bar on the ground floor that is open on weekends.
