There are 2 of the one-man bunkers here, which are only separated by about 50 m. At the 2nd bunker (counterclockwise according to the direction of the "Schaidter Westwallweg"; i.e. further to the west) there is a large information board and a dummy soldier's head at the opening of the one-man bunker. "In addition, there are still traces of the old trenches that were dug by the Schanzers nearby." "The bunker on the path here is a standard building 10. It was [...] the most commonly built type and served as a shelter for 15 soldiers. Even with the doors and loopholes open, hardly any daylight came into the interior of the bunker. Artificial light was therefore necessary even during the day. a 1a cycle path that is simply fun. Little going on here.

Better way to Wissembourg from this direction than the one on the German side.

Beautiful bike path through the meadows, fields and forests from/to Wissembourg ↔ Schleithal.

A beautiful mostly shady path. Best bike path!

In summer (June-August) I would avoid the trail. Here you will be eaten by the mosquitoes

a nice smooth stretch with fields partly on both sides. Only very rarely does the main (traffic) road run next to it.
