The Buchen Chapel is probably the most famous building in the municipality of Brünisried in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It stands idyllically in a forest in Oberholz and was first mentioned in documents in 1586. It is dedicated to Saint Anthony.

At the Schlossweid there are seating areas around several fireplaces for grilling the cervelat 😉😋 and is also very popular for a visit at sunset to stop time for a moment and enjoy 👍🏻😊

30 years ago this was the old Sensefest place. At that time there was still an unpaved road along the Sense from Rufenen to this place, but it was completely swept away after several storms. A hiking trail, the Sense further away, was then redesigned. Today it is also increasingly home to the small, completely harmless smooth snake (information board).
