Beautiful view over the lake, directly on the path

Deserted and just a few swans - very relaxing. I was amazed at how clear the water is.

The Fermasee is originally an old arm of the Rhine that was used as a quarry pond for a long time. It belongs to Rheinstetten-Neuburgweier in the Karlsruhe district and was created when gravel was needed for the West Wall. Large parts of the banks now belong to the Altrhein Neuburgweier nature reserve and are closed to visitors and bathers. On the east side, which is accessible by car from Neuburgweier, there is a small car park and a bathing bay. It is particularly beautiful here in the evening, just before sunset. Linger and absorb the vibrations of nature. Listening to the birds, swans, grebes, coots, cormorants, silver herons and gray herons and occasionally watching a stork, yes, that's possible here.

There is a very similar viewing platform on the exact opposite side of the lake. I really like these two.
