Beautiful dam, beautiful lake, good hiking trails

The Erzgrube Nagold Dam serves as flood protection in the Upper Nagold Valley. With a total length of 2,850 meters, a width of up to 250 meters, and a maximum depth of 35 meters, it is one of Baden-Württemberg's largest water reservoirs.

The Nagold Dam is always worth a visit. On sunny weekends and holidays, however, it's quite busy, and the noise of the racing drivers on the opposite bank is omnipresent. The surface is good, except for a few small bumps, but even on calm days, you shouldn't push yourself to the limit; instead, you can simply slow down for a moment and enjoy the views. If you like, you can even take a dip in the small forecourt.

The long loop is approximately 6 km. If you take the shortcut over the bridge, it's approximately 4 km. The entire route is paved. You can stop for refreshments halfway through at Seeheimer or at the Seekiosk in Erzgrube.
