St. Augustinus is Nordhorn's main Catholic church, which, along with the Reformed Market Church, dominates the city's skyline. The building was constructed from 1911 to 1913 according to the plans of the Hamburg government architect Josef Keith as an octagonal central structure with a dome, ambulatory, and lantern.

Don't underestimate the ban on bicycles on hiking trails! Ranger are often on the move here and are happy to collect a hefty fine -:)
