교회의 위치는 역사적으로 매우 흥미롭습니다. 근처의 로다흐는 이전에는 개신교 마르크그라프툼 바이에로이트와 가톨릭 밤베르크 주교후국 사이의 경계였습니다. 노르트할벤 자체는 전통적으로 가톨릭이었습니다. 그러나 20세기 초 산업 노동자들의 유입으로 이 지역의 개신교도 수가 증가했습니다. 6km 떨어진 게롤즈그륀에서 열리는 가장 가까운 개신교 예배까지의 길이 힘들었기 때문에 1908년에 "Betsaalverein"이 설립되었습니다. 임시 장소(공장 홀 등)에서 몇 년을 보낸 후, 지역 부부 한 쌍이 마침내 교회 건축을 위한 부지를 기증했습니다.

The oldest documented mention of Nordhalben as a castle, built in the Nortwald forest at the behest of the Bishop of Bamberg, dates back to 1154. The oldest archdeaconry register, dating from 1421, is the first to confirm a priest in Nordhalben. During the Thirty Years' War, the parish church fell into gradual disrepair. From 1707 to 1715, the church was rebuilt in the Baroque style on its current site. During the "Great Fire" of 1856, the church, except for the choir vault and the foundations of the tower, was destroyed by flames. Reconstruction began in 1858. With the addition of the side aisle and the expansion of the sacristy in 1928, the church took on its present form.

A small place of worship with a wayside cross on Lobensteiner Straße. Locals call it the "Little House of the Lord."

The Nordhalben Nature Adventure Pool is unique. Unlike conventional pools, it completely avoids chemicals for water treatment. However, it does not neglect the necessary hygiene. This is ensured by two regeneration pools through which the pool water is recirculated in a closed circuit. These pools are planted, and the roots act as a natural filter. The large surface area heats the water using solar radiation. A total of over 1,400 square meters of water surface are available, of which over 900 square meters are for the swimming area.
