In 2003, concurrent with the restoration/renaturation of the idyllic, reed-lined Schmachter Lake, the lakeside promenade with the "Park of the Senses" was created. This park was created as an outdoor location for the renowned International Garden Exhibition (IGA) and opened to the public on May 24, 2003. This promenade is something special and beautiful. I was here when the rhododendrons were in bloom. But the works of art and physics experiments are also worth seeing.

There is a lot to see and try out. The wooden sculptures and carved benches are worth seeing and the physics experiments are sure to appeal to more than just children.
